Today's Recipe - Cranberry Nut Bread

Recipe: Ingredients: 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 well beaten egg 3/4 c. orange juice 2 tbsp. shortening 1/2 c. nuts, chopped DIRECTIONS: In bowl mix together flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in egg, orange juice and shortening. Mix until well blended. Stir in nuts and cranberries. Turn into a 9x5 inch loaf bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or test with a toothpick in center. Cool on rack for 15 minutes, then remove. One loaf. Freezes well.
