Today's Recipe - Cranberry - Orange Bread

Recipe: Ingredients: 2 c. flour, sifted 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Grated rind of 1 orange 2 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. orange juice 1 egg, beaten 1 c. raw cranberries Nuts, opt. DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix in thoroughly butter, orange juice, rind and egg. Fold in cranberries. (Do not thaw frozen cranberries, just rinse and add to batter.) Bake 1 hour or until toothpick stuck into center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly before slicing with thin, sharp knife.
