Today's Recipe - Burnt Sugar Cake

Recipe: Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. burnt sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
Cream butter and sugar, add yolks of eggs, water and flour. Beat 5 minutes. Then add beaten egg whites, 1/2 cup flour, 3 teaspoons burnt sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder and vanilla, and beat again.
Put 1 cup sugar in a hot pan to brown and add 1/2 cup cold water. Put in a jar to keep.
