Today's Recipe - Makai Frankie

Recipe: Ingredients: For Pattice: Corn Kernels - 1 cup Boiled Potatoes - 2 nos Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp Green Chillies -1 tsp Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp Haldi - 1 tsp Jeera powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste For Frankie: Maida - 1 cup Water Oil Salt to taste For chutney: Mint leaves - 1/4 cup Cilantro - 1 cup 2-3 chillies . 1/4 tsp Jeera Salt as per taste DIRECTIONS: Method For pattice: Boil corn kernels (you can use fresh corn too, boil it and remove kernels) Mash the kernels very well some kernels remain its ok. Add boiled potatoes, paste and spices . Take the mixture and make small pattice out of it and shallow fry them and keep aside. Method For frankie: Make a dough of maida salt and water as of chapati dough. Roll into small chapatties Roast them on a tava on both sides u can prepare them ahead of time and preserve. You can also use tortillas if u want. Method for Chutney: Prepare mint chutney by mixing chutney ingredients and grinding it. To make makai frankie: Take a roti and spread mint chutney on it . Place 2 pattice in between mash a little and some chopped onion (if u like) Roll the roti by joining both ends and shallow fry them till its crisp on both sides . While serving cut the frankie in between and serve with chutney. You can also serve it with tamarind chutney and u can eat the pattice alone also
