Today's Recipe - Potato Fry

Recipe: Ingredients: 1 Large Potato 1 tsp Turmeric 1/2 tsp Red chili powder 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder 1 tsp Fish fry masala powder or Pulav/Biryani masala powder Oil to shallow fry(preferably olive oil) Salt as per taste DIRECTIONS: Cut the potato in a mediumround shape.Cut it exactly in the same way we cut for sandwiches. Mix very well all the above ingredients. Take a flat non-stick pan, pour some oil and arrange allthe potatoes properly in it and shallow fry onmedium flame. Take a fork to see if the potatoes are done. This recipe will taste good if served with dal rice or curd rice. Useful Tips: If your curry has become very salty then add few cubes of potatoes and cook it. Potatoes will absorb all the salt and will make your curry taste good. Do not wash potatoes before storing, because the moisture can cause sprouting. Do not refrigerate potatoes, because it converts the potato starch into sugar which changes the taste. To preserve the potatoes important nutrients, cook them in their skins. If a potato has any green spots, take it off before cooking. To thicken any gravy just add some leftover mashed potatoes. Potatoes can be anexcellent remedyfor people who are suffering from high blood pressure because of the high potassium content.
